The "Gran Teatro Antonio Ferrandis" of Paterna hosted, last Thursday, November 25, the celebration of the Local Police Day of the town, in which, in addition to proceeding to the decoration of various agents of the local and national police, as well as to members of Civil Protection, the efforts made during the pandemic by the National Police Force, the Military Emergency Unit and the Hospital "Arnau de Vilanova" were valued.

In this regard, the collaboration of various neighborhood and cultural associations was also recognized, as well as several companies that, in the worst of the pandemic, stepped up to help in whatever way they could.

This was the reason why the Secretary for Security and Emergencies, José María Ángel Batalla, handed over to Vicente Andreu Bort, president and founder of Andreu Barberá, S.L. a commemorative plaque in appreciation of their contribution in the fight against Covid-19.

The "Sintonía" awards, for their part, founded in 2010 by the Socialists of Paterna, recognize the work of different social, cultural and economic agents of our city, in areas such as solidarity, equality, freedom or social justice, as well as the Francisco Borruey special award, in honor of the one who was mayor of Paterna between 1997 and 2007.

At the delivery gala, held on Sunday, November 28 at the Capri Theater of the town, Andreu Barberá, S.L. was awarded by the Solidarity award for having collaborated, in the toughest moments of the pandemic, with the donation of 9,000 units of different personal protective equipment (PPE) including masks, safety glasses and disposable divers, essential to combat Covid- 19. Vicente Andreu Bort was again in charge of collecting the award from the Deputy Secretary for the Organization of the Socialists of Paterna, Nuria Campos.

The rest of the winners were the Paterna Sciences Rugby club, with the Equality award, the "Falla Colom d\'Or" received the Freedom award, the Social Justice club went to the Foundation "Ayuda una Familia (Help a Family)", while the Francisco Borruey special award was awarded to the Local Police of Paterna.
